Cancer to Deborah was always something she heard about but never knew much about. Her Grandmother was a Breast Cancer survivor but didn't really understand until both her Aunts were diagnosed with Breast Cancer. From this point on she made it a mission to help raise awareness and find a cure. Since 2002, Deborah has participated in the Revlon walk every year with her family, and in 2007 and 2008 she completed the 2 day, 39 mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Deborah's dedication led to a whole new venture. It was called the Next Generation Foundation. A foundation in which would help get youths more involved in the fight against Cancer. She was asked to served as a Board of Trustee andwas more than happy to accept the role and take on the challenge. She knew not only would this enable her to do what she was already doing, but that she would be able to do this in the company of 10 amazing women that shared the same passion as she did.

Since joining the Next Generation Foundation Deborah became a mother to two beautiful little girls, Daisy and Lulu, and has another little one on the way. That alone allows her to see things from another perspective. Knowing what she knew and seeing what she has seen makes it unimaginable to think of this happening to one of her children. This is not only a goal of of hers, but a lifetime commitment.

"Our Foundation is our stepping stone to a Cancer Free Future and I know one day with our dedication and commitment we will have a cure. I do it for my daughters and every other man, women and child. My hope it to make Cancer a thing of the past."

The mission of The Next Generation Foundation is to get young men and women involved with cancer awareness. Cancer gives no allowance when it comes to age, race or gender. Therefore, we all need to do what we can to help eradicate this disease.

It is our generation that needs to set the example for young men and women to follow. There is so much that each of us can do, but not everyone knows where to start. Learn more

The truth is that so many of us wait til someone we know and love is diagnosed or lost to the terrible disease called Cancer. Together, you can help us to change this!

We shouldn't be waiting for a loved one to become part of a statistic, but rather coming together with our loved ones to try to change these statistics so that we are hearing more and more survival stories that fuel the inspiration Learn more
